Rocky Mountain Bull Elk Bugling
I was driving with the family through Upper Beaver Meadows in Rocky Mountain National Park when I (and about a dozen other people) spotted this bull Rocky Mountain Elk (Cervus canadensis nelsoni) with his harem. It was rutting season, so I set up my tripod on the shoulder of the road a couple hundred feet away. I managed to catch this shot of him bugling while lying next to one of his cows.
