Isis Temple

Isis Temple

On our last day at Grand Canyon, we went back to Mather's Point one last time to look out at the canyon. The skies at mid-morning were a mix of snow clouds to the north and sunlight on the South Rim.

I noticed that the peak of Isis Temple was passing in and out of sunlight and waited to take this shot when the peak was highlighted.

Distances in the canyon are deceptive. In this case, Isis Temple sits about five miles away from where I took the photo.
