I knew I wanted to photograph this schoolhouse-style lighthouse at the end of the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal on my trip to Door County. Luck was with me when I realized that the sky would be clear and moonrise of the full moon would be at dusk on Otcober 8th. I lined up this shot from the beach at Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Nature Preserve. I intentionally underexposed so that I could preserve some details in the moon.
