Sunset in Manor Kill Valley

Sunset in Manor Kill Valley

We were out driving in search of Manor Kill Falls in the Catskills and basically went right on past them out Potter Mountain Road. With the sun fading fast, we drove back to a wide spot in the valley surrounding Manor Kill. After shooting a number of photos with the sun at my back and to the side, I turned toward the sun just before it set behind the hills to the west. Since I was using a zoom lens, the flare was problematic for many of the photos, but this shot worked really well.
