The Beaver Bridge, known as the Little Golden Gate of Arkansas, crosses the White River at Beaver. It is the only suspension bridge left in Arkansas. Built in 1949, it still has a wooden deck and railings.Date: 27 October 2010Location: Beaver, Arkansas, United StatesOriginal resolution: 12 MPProcessing: Processed from RAW using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6

I was in Waco for an airshow and decided to go downtown and see the bridges. I photographed sunset through the Washington Avenue Bridge (the Waco Steel Bridge) from the Waco Suspension Bridge. It's an extraordinary example of a through-truss bridge (specifically a Pennsylvania truss), spanning 450 feet over the Brazos River. On this particular day, the Brazos was still at flood stage, as can be seen in the park at right, because of heavy rains in Central Texas the week before.Date: 6 June 2015Location: Waco, Texas, United StatesOriginal resolution: 36 MPProcessing: Processed from RAW using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6

The Roy B. Inks Bridge over the Llano River at the town of Llano is a steel Parker through-truss bridge. It was built in 1936 to replace the bridge destroyed by a flood in 1935. The dam to the right backs up a small recreational lake but provides no other function.Date: 15 July 2018Location: Llano, Texas, United StatesOriginal resolution: 36 MPProcessing: Processed from RAW using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6

I've photographed the Saco River covered bridge three times over the years. This is the first time that I had a sunny day so that the sky looked nice. The bridge was originally built in 1890 and continues to carry traffic. I walked downstream from the bridge and took the photo from near the Highway 16 bridge.Date: 10 October 2018Location: Conway, New Hampshire, United StatesOriginal resolution: 36 MPProcessing: Processed from RAW using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6

I wanted to photograph the Bridge of Lions after seeing other photos of the bridge at night. The structure dates to 1927 and is famous for the lion statues on the western approach. I chose this view of the bridge from the northwest. I tried a number of different compositions, including some with streaming car tail liights, but I liked this one the best, with the cars stopped on the bridge just as the drawbridge lights turn from red to green.Date: 19 March 2022Location: St. Augustine, Florida, United StatesOriginal resolution: 45 MPProcessing: Processed from RAW using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic 12

The Sunday River bridge, built in 1872, is also named the Artist's Bridge because of its reputation as being the most photographed and painted of the venerable covered bridges in Maine. The bridge, an 87 foot Paddleford truss, was closed to traffic in 1958 when a new bridge was built downstream. The view is from the west side of the bridge, looking east.Date: 10 October 2006Location: Newry, Maine, United StatesOriginal resolution: 6 MPProcessing: Processed from RAW using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6

The Keystone Arch Bridges Trail follows the Westfield River as it crisscrosses a double-tracked section of the CSX railroad., with both river and railroad passing through an 800-ft gorge. This double arch bridge, dating to the 1840s, is just off the trailhead and is the easiest to access. | 11 October 2016 | Chester, Massachusetts, United States | Nikon D810 | 36 MP | Processed from RAW using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC 2015
